EquiSounds

The Founders

A lifetime dedicated to sound and the living.

EquiSounds was born from decades of research into how sound and low-frequency vibration act on the body. Pier and Dorine Rubesa bring that expertise to horses through protocols rigorously adapted to equine physiology.

Pier Rubesa

Co-founder & CTO

A Canadian composer, sound engineer and innovator, Pier Rubesa has devoted more than 40 years to studying the effects of sound and low-frequency vibration on living systems. He is the inventor of RubesaSounds® and of the AudioVitality® technology, connecting musical composition, sound design, signal processing, engineering and applied neuroscience.

His research is the subject of patents and international collaborations with trainers, veterinarians and equine-performance experts. He leads Vitality Universe and Rubesa Universe as CEO and serves as CTO of EquiSounds.

DR

Dorine Rubesa

Co-founder & CEO

A Swiss innovator with diplomas in human-systems engineering and cognitive neuroscience, Dorine Rubesa has spent over 30 years designing methods that integrate coaching, therapy and training, with sound at the heart of her approach. Co-designer of the Rubesa Vibroacoustic Model, she formalised the AudioVitality protocols and training method — accredited by the Swiss Foundation for Complementary Medicine (ASCA) since 2014 and reimbursed by the Swiss health system.

President of the World Association for Sound Therapy, she advocates for rigorous methodological standards and shared ethics in sound technologies across human and animal health, now extending her expertise to equine protocols.

Scientific lineage

Recognised, reimbursed, peer-reviewed

AudioVitality® is recognised by the Swiss Foundation for Complementary Medicine (ASCA) since 2014 and reimbursed by the Swiss health system. Its impact on heart-rate variability was demonstrated in a clinical study published in Frontiers in Sports and Active Living (2025). EquiSounds carries that same rigour into equine care.
